The Civil Rights Act opened the door in 1964, but the elevator to economic opportunity and mobility has remained out of reach for too many Black workers.
Every day without organized worker power allows inequality to continue. Despite decades of progress, Black workers still face higher unemployment, lower wages, and persistent barriers to advancement.
The status quo is not neutral. Every day without organized power is a day the system runs unopposed.
